How placement works
Age gets a dancer into roughly the right room. Ability decides the rest.
- 1
Book a trial class
Pick whichever class looks closest. If it turns out to be the wrong fit, that is useful information and costs you nothing.
- 2
A teacher watches your dancer
We look at what they can hold, not what they can attempt once. Placement happens in the room, not from a form.
- 3
We recommend a level
Sometimes that is the class they tried. Sometimes it is a level up, or a different style entirely — we will tell you honestly either way.
- 4
Enrol when you are ready
Seven days to decide, and nothing charged until you confirm.

Book a free trialQuestions parents ask
What age can my child start dancing?
We take dancers from 18 months. The youngest classes are movement and play with a light structure; formal technique begins around four or five.
How do you decide which class my dancer belongs in?
By ability, assessed in person, not by age alone. A nine-year-old beginner will not be placed with four-year-olds, and a dancer with previous training elsewhere will be watched in a trial class before we place them.
Can my dancer take more than one style?
Yes, and many do. Ballet alongside jazz or hip-hop is the most common combination, because the technique carries across.
What happens in the 7-day free trial?
Your dancer can take as many classes as they like across seven days to find the right fit. Nothing is charged unless you tell us you want to enrol — there is no automatic billing to cancel.
